racing pads dominated both major US sports car championships
2005,
the Grand Am Rolex Series and the American LeMans Series
ALMS
Rolex Series
Out of the 38 Daytona Prototypes competing in the 2005
Rolex Series, 24 cars have been using PAGID pads –
that’s more than 60%!
Not only 10 out of 14 races had been won by Prototypes
equipped with PAGID pads but also the championship itself
– congratulations to Riley Technology.
Great success in the smaller GT class as well – 7
wins and 1st in the championship: The Racers Group TRG
won with their all new Pontiac GTO-R the Grand Am GT series
title.
American LeMans Series ALMS
In the 2005 ALMS series all but one GT team used PAGID
racing brake pads. All 10 GT races plus the 24h race in
LeMans itself had been won with PAGID endurance pads.
The Porsche factory team Petersen Racing wrapped up the
2005 championship after 5 years of Alex Job Racing (on
PAGID pads as well) dominance.
